What is Jikiden Reiki?

Jikiden Reiki is Reiki as it was originally taught by Usui Sensei in Japan. The word Jikiden means direct translation. This means there are no additions e.g. chakras it is the process as was handed down through a very short lineage in Japan. For me it answered some questions about Reiki that I had been reflecting on.

There are two ways to experience Jikiden Reiki with me:

Many people start their Jikiden Reiki journey through receiving a treatment and for some they continue to learn Jikiden Reiki in order to be able to support family and friends through treatments.

I have benefitted from learning Jikiden Reiki and practising it with my family and friends.

Choosing a Jikiden Reiki Teacher

When the time feels right, you’ll be drawn to find the teacher who feels safe and in tune with you. Listen to that inner nudge. that sense of connection matters — this is a personal, heart-led journey. Take your time. No question or query is too simple. You need to feel confident to ask the questions or after a course follow up and get clarity perhaps on a particular aspect of teaching that in your self practice felt different from what you expected. Many Reiki teachers offer a chat, additional information and taster sessions to support new Reiki students in finding the teacher that is right for them. In my traditional Japanese Lineage (Jikiden) we are encouraged to to work with different teachers and this has deepened my knowledge.

Perhaps we’ve already met — through a treatment, a retreat, or a conversation.

However we’ve connected, if something feels gently aligned, you’re welcome to contact me just to chat through your questions I may be the right teacher for you, but if not I may be able to guide you to another and be a step along the journey.
