You might be stressed, anxious, struggling with sleep, or have a physical issue that is preventing you from living life to the full. If this is the case for you, I am here to help.
Releasing tension from your body will help you feel less stressed, sleep better, and have more energy throughout the day. I draw on a range of natural and practical energy techniques to support you to a balance in mind and body.
I listen closely to what you need and use established healing techniques to restore balance and calm, bringing body, emotions, mind, and spirit into unison.
I am a verified Reiki Practitioner registered with the Complementary Natural Health Care Council.
These are fully clothed and can take place lying on a massage table or in a chair.
I also offer a range of Reiki courses and workshops.
During a Jikiden Reiki® treatment, you lie fully clothed on a therapy bed (treatments can be delivered seated if required). The treatment is conducted in a calm, quiet environment away from distractions where you can really relax. Jikiden Reiki is generally a hands on treatment Usui Sensei taught this approach as practitioners are able to feel areas of the body that appear to have a build up of toxins that can directly impact on the body's natural healing ability to restore and rebalance. This is known as byosen.
I use cotton cloths (tenugui) to cover your eyes to aid relaxation. I start at the head unless I am treating a specific area/ symptom on the body e.g. physically injury. I place my hands to where the imbalance is found and then channel Reiki energy through my hands to your body, which your body absorbs, this focused channeling of Reiki works to dissipate areas of tension and support better energy flow to promote balance. (Hand placement will be discussed with you prior to the treatment, with any modifications made to ensure you feel totally comfortable with the process). during which time you relax and unwind to some calming music.
Individual experiences of Reiki treatments can differ. However, Reiki is commonly experienced as a gentle flow of energy promoting a deep sense of relaxation, which commonly continues after the treatment has ended. Clients may or may not feel sensations during a Reiki treatment. Benefits reported by clients include deep relaxation promoting a calm, peaceful sense of well-being on all levels, improved sleep and a general feeling of lightness.
For those who cannot travel to an in-person Reiki treatment. Reiki is still effective at a distance.
As a Jikiden Reiki® practitioner I will use a specific method of using Reiki energy for you as an absent receiver. Although, an in-person hands on treatment has the additional healing power of touch I am still able to feel the byosen (the body’s reaction/sensations from the illness, stress, worry or injury).
Who can benefit from an Enkaku treatment?
What do I need to do?
I will arrange a time with you to speak prior to the treatment for a short consultation. Choose a time for the treatment when you can fully relax and be undisturbed. It is best if you can continue to relax for a short while afterwards.
My work in Reiki covers a number of areas; this may resonate with you too. The Reiki journey takes us on different paths at different times, it is not just about being a practitioner giving treatments or teaching. My journey has involved both those aspects but probably the most important part for me is sharing how living a life infused with Reiki brings joy and balance.
My everyday work in Reiki is focused on family and friends, this is known as 'folk Reiki' and this is all I practiced for many years. Reiki is for sharing
I love offering Reiki treatments here in beautiful Exmouth. I have based my in person practice at the Exmouth Integrated Therapies Clinic.

Reiki is a complementary therapy that supports the body's natural healing. It does not replace any medical guidance and advice. Always keep your medical team informed.
I have also worked with other members of the Jikiden Reiki® UK Association to develop the Jikiden Reiki® Verified Practitioner status awarded by the Reiki Council meeting the standards required by the CNHC. I am one of the first Jikiden Reiki® Practitioners in the UK to gain the award.
I am a teacher/assessor for the programme and guide others who also share my passion to enable Reiki to be more widely available in hospitals and other medical settings.
You can be confident you are choosing to work with an experienced passionate Reiki practitioner!
I love to talk about Reiki share success stories, practical approaches and how I live my life with Reiki at its heart. Please contact me if you would like me to give a talk to your group.

Okuden
The Deeper Journey
✨ One-day immersion — 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM
✨ Certified by the Jikiden Reiki® Institute, Japan
Step into the deeper flow of Reiki with the Okuden (deeper level) training — a sacred continuation of your Shoden journey. In this one-day experience, you’ll receive two more traditional Reiju, further awakening your natural sensitivity to Reiki energy and expanding your ability to work with it consciously, compassionately, and with deeper insight.
This course invites you to explore profound techniques passed down through the authentic Japanese lineage of Reiki. It’s not about exams or pressure — it’s about your growth. You’ll be guided with care and encouragement, in a small, supportive group setting where your confidence and understanding are nurtured every step of the way.
✦ What You’ll Experience:
You’ll also deepen your understanding of Japanese spiritual principles and mindset, which sit at the heart of how Reiki is practiced and shared.
Who is this for?
This course is open to those who have completed a Jikiden Reiki Shoden training with an accredited Jikiden Reiki teacher. Okuden gives you powerful, refined tools for healing and support.
Many students choose to take both Shoden and Okuden together as a three-day journey — a beautiful way to fully immerse yourself in the system and receive all core techniques in one flowing experience. You're welcome to do the same, though you're also free to take Okuden separately at your own pace. My personal preference is to teach Shoden and Okuden separately. This allows you to become more settled in your own personal Reiki practice before deepening your practice.
